Grow your brain

Grow your brain
Did you know that your brain can grow even after you are an adult? The brain grows by formation of new neurons (brain cells) and this process is scientifically known as neurogenesis.

One need not to grow the head as well when the brain grows because the more the brain grows the more it folds in into itself, thus the more folds in the brain the bigger it is, and the brighter the owner is considered to be.
It is also amazing to know that brain cells grow like tree branches. When one thinks and does positive things, with a right diet and proper rest, the brain cells grow like healthy green tree branches. These in turn help in the secretion of proper chemicals which keep the body healthy.

The following are some of the things you can do to keep your brain growing:
ü  Think positive thoughts. Positive thoughts help neurogenesis processes by producing healthy neurons. On the other hand, negative thinking fosters neurons to grow which are not healthy. These unhealthy neurons are almost like dried tree branches in contrast to their counter parts which are like green and healthy tree branches. Unhealthy tree branches produce toxic chemicals which renders the body unhealthy in the long run.

ü  Use your head when doing simple calculations such as simple additions, subtraction, multiplication and division. Avoid using machines such as calculators for simple operations as these do not foster your brain development.

ü  Play logical games such as Sudoku, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, etc. these involve a lot of thinking thus enabling the process of brain development.

ü  Learn to do normal things in new ways. Learn a new route to a common place without using GPRS; use a different hand when doing something you are used to do with the other hand, etc. This will make the brain to grow new cells which are associated with the new way of doing things.

ü  Learn to memorize common things like your daily to-do-list, peoples’ numbers and peoples’ names. This means development of the brain's part that is concerned with memory.

ü  Develop and learn new hobbies and interests. A new interest means a new way of doing something new. Things like playing the piano, embroidery and drawing/painting require development of new faculties in the brain, which means neurogenesis.

It is very possible to grow your brain and thus to become brighter by the day. Intellect can be something people are born with, but it can also be developed.
